NORTHSIDE VIKINGS ATOM A

We started this weekend tournament with an early start as the bus pulled out at 3am .We had a great drive on the bus with the kids having a blast and we got to PEI and we hit the ice running with a hudge effort and came out with a 6 to 1 win.What an effort the boys put in the played great as a team and made us proud.We had a good celebration on Friday nite and capped off before midnight. I was wondering if the early morning start would set in with the travel and the early mornings the 745 am game proved to be too early for our boys parents coaches and all as we went down in defeat to Chebucto 6-1 there wasn’t alot of effort understandably as we were all tired.WE then prepared for the afternoon game in Belfast we arrived at the rink(barn)to find a metal half moon building that slurps brother noah literally effortlessly ran to the top of the roof and turned to come back down .This rink was a memory in it’s self a rink with room to stand single file on the side for the fans and no room behind the bench at all not to mention a beauty salon if you needed a hair cut .The atmosphere was perfect to come out with a win in this place but it was not in our cards the boys played well in spurts and the pownal warriors brought their a game to give us an 8 -0 loss they did stop alot of good scoring chances but we were there to have fun and a good trip and we did have that .Kids these are memories of a hockey trip ,you will have and cherish for the rest of your lives.As a parent and a coach I had a great trip and I know that every parent there did as well playing guitars and singing every nite with the whole crew down stairs mini sticks and swimming for the kids we all had a great time .Now as I wrap this weekend up I am sitting here on the bus at the toll booth on the highway it is the quietest this bus has ever been every person on it wore out .This was a good team building trip right before our most important 3 weeks this year .The next game on Friday is the first game of the playoffs and are all must win games we now have to buckle down and give 110 percent to win these play off games and pave the road to provincials ………..

I was pleased with the way the team came back last night and scored 6 goals in the thrid all from the first line of Logan Evan and Zack parks but the we were in a hole that was too deep to crawl out of when we had a chance to take controll of the team late in the game we were down 9-1 at the point that we could force them .Today we kept the game game closer so in the last 5 minutes we could roll ahead and hold on for the win .We now have tomorrow and to look forward too and i really want to get a game on the County this year so this will be the game to do it they are not that strong but they move the puck well so we will have to take every advantage we can to beat them ……

IT WAS A GREAT WEEKEND WE BATTLED AGAINST ALL ODDS TO WIN BRONZE MEDALS . IT SEEMED LIKE THE REFFING WAS AGINST US THE TIME KEEPERS WAS AGAINST US AND WE STILL WON BRONZE MEDALS .I AM SO PROUD OF EVERY SINGLE ONE OF OUR PLAYERS WHAT AND EFFORT WE ARE SURE HAVING A GREAT YEAR WITH MORE TO STILL COME 2 TOURNAMENTS SO FAR AND MEDAL COUNT IS AT 2 THAT IS GREAT GUYS .LIKE I SAID I AM SO PROUD OF YOU ALL EVERONE CONTRIBUTES AS IT IS A WHOLE TEAM EFFORT EVERY HAS A JOB TO DO AND IT GETS DONE LETS LOOK FORWARD TO SYDNEY HOM AND HOME THIS WEEKEND COMMING THEN PEI SEE YOU ALL AT PRACTICE ON TUESDAY AT 5 IN SYDNEY MINES

WE PLAYED PRETTY SOLID TODAY WITH A COME FROM BEHIND WIN AND A COME FROM BEHIND TIE.WE ARE PLAYING TOMORROW MORNING AT 930 AGAINST WHYCOCOMAGH. WE CAN GET BY THEM BY PLAYING THE WAY WE PLAYED AGAINST BADDECK AND INVERNESS TODAY .WE WERE UP ON BADDECK LAST NIGHT AND THEY HAD BEAT WHYCOCOMAGH A FEW TIMES THIS YEAR ALREADY SO WE CAN BEAT THEM TOO.I NEED EVERYONE THERE AT 830 TOMORROW AND I NEED EVERYONE POSITIVE AS WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY TOMORROW AND WE ARE COMMING HOME WITH GOLD MEDALS AROUND ARE NECK

GUYS I JUST WANT TO SAY EVERYONE GAVE A GREAT EFFORT TONIGHT ZACK PARKS HAD AN AWESOME GOAL WITH 235 TO GO TO PUT US IN THE LEAD ON THE POWER PLAY THAT WORKED TO PERFECTION THE PENALTY KILL WORKED GREAT RYAN WAS AWESOME IN NETTS TONIGHT .LOGAN TARGETT WAS BACK TO HIS SCORING WAYS WITH 2 BIG GOALS . THE TEAM WAS JUST SUPER WHEN EVERYONE GIVES AN EFFORT THIS IS WHAT WE CAN DO LETS KEEP IT UP AND WIN 2 TOMORRO ON THE WAY TO OUR FIRST GOLD MEDALS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
